This study aimed to measure the moderating role of firm life cycle on the relationship between the accounting disclosure level of financial risks and the cost of debt. To achieve this, the study was applied to companies listed on the EGX100 index. The sample consisted of 63 companies, after excluding banks and financial institutions due to their unique nature, over the period from 2019-2023. An index was constructed to measure the level of financial risk disclosure, comprising 22 items, after reviewing relevant accounting standards and prior studies. As for the cost of debt, it was estimated using the ratio of financing expenses to total debt. The study found a high level of risk disclosure in the financial reports of study sample, indicating a commitment from a significant portion of these companies to risk disclosure. This may be attributed to the desire of many companies to achieve high levels of transparency out of concern for stakeholders. The study also found a significant inverse relationship between the level of risk disclosure and the cost of capital. With regard to the moderating effect of FLC on the relationship between financial risks disclosure and cost of debt the applied study revealed that being in the introduction, Shake-out or decline Stage has a positive but not significant effect on the relationship between financial risk disclosure and the cost of debt. Whereas, the Growth and maturity Stages significantly moderates the relationship between FRD and COD in a negative direction. Furthermore, the results indicated a significant negative impact of both company size and profitability as control variables on the cost of debt.Whereas, the cost of debt (COD) is positively related to the financial leverage.
